Indian River Lagoon

This started out as a Plein Air Painting.  I made modifications to it in the studio as I realized I had not provided a center of interest.  For some reason I get so enraptured with the beauty of nature and trying to capture it all, I lose what I want to say.  I am thinking of lightening my plein air equipment,  Has anyone had success with something small that is easy to fill and store and not too expensive?

Honor I hardly ever get outside to paint (my bad) --so I can't really help you there! I too struggle with establishing a focal point and having it still be there when the painting is done. I imagine it's that much harder when are outside in the elements. Good luck.

Hi Honor..
I always find myself dragging things away on a family vacation and never using them... When I'm with the family... and out and about... I just can't sit and paint.

Oh well... At least we both get to paint sometimes.
